Saffron Street will bring Indian street food to Leicester

Leicester is expected to host another new Indian restaurant in the New Year as Saffron Street is set to open on London Road.

Taking over the unit better known as The Lansdowne, the old bar will now be a new concept in Indian street food, from the team behind Saffron Street in Ilford, east London.

The concept focuses on Indian street food in a beautiful setting. Saffron Street claims to take street food to another level. “We offer authentic Indian street food reimagined and not reinvented, served with a smile in a beautiful and warm atmosphere.”

More than just a place to grab a bite to eat, it’s about the experience, taking you on a culinary journey to discover the ingredients and flavors of the streets of India, which are then reinvented in Saffron’s cuisine. Street.
