Repayable business loans of up to $ 100,000 have recently become available to businesses, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations operating in Del Norte County.
The loans were made available through Community Development Block Grant Funds and are distributed under two programs: the Microenterprise Assistance Program and the Business Assistance Loan Program.
“This is definitely a unique program,” said Eric Wier, City Manager of Crescent City. “We absolutely want this money in the hands of our local businesses. “
According to the city’s website, the goal of the program is to support recovery efforts and build the long-term resilience of businesses in the city and county.
The Phase I application window for the first round will be from Wednesday November 17 to Friday December 10.
Eligible applicants can apply for up to $ 50,000 for businesses with fewer than five employees whose owner is eligible for income, or up to $ 100,000 for businesses with 25 or fewer full-time equivalent employees who will create or maintain businesses. jobs.
Claggett Wolfe Associates and Arcata Economic Development Corporation will administer the programs, and the North Coast Small Business Development Center will provide free technical assistance to help companies through the application process and post-award reporting requirements.
