Quick and Easy Indian Macaroni Recipe in 5 Steps

Elbow macaroni is a type of pasta that, as the name suggests, has a curved elbow shape. It is usually accompanied by a rich and tangy tomato sauce and is served with Parmesan cheese. The Indian macaroni recipe includes a variety of spices like garam masala, red chili powder and a pinch of turmeric as well as different vegetables like carrots, green beans, etc.

Step 1

Boil 1 cup of elbow macaroni in boiling water with a pinch of salt. Cook the macaroni until they have a slightly al-dente texture. Once done, drain the water and keep the pasta aside.

2nd step

Heat vegetable oil in a pan and add 2 teaspoons of finely chopped garlic with 1 teaspoon of grated ginger. Once it becomes fragrant, add ½ cup chopped onions and sauté over medium heat.

Then add 1 ½ cups of chopped tomatoes and cook them until they become soft and plump. Now add 2 tablespoons of tomato puree and sauté for a few minutes. Add 1 cup finely chopped carrots and green beans. Mix well.
