Brother Thai closed his Cardiff restaurant for a week due to coronavirus

Popular restaurant Thai Brother had to close temporarily due to the coronavirus.

The Cardiff Restaurant on Whitchurch Road will be closed until next week as a precaution and those who had reservations will have received a cancellation email or phone call.

Brother Thai has yet to announce exactly when it will reopen, but has said on his Instagram Stories that there will be confirmation in the coming days.

Posting on Instagram, the restaurant said it was “obviously gutted” to have to cancel the hundreds of reservations for the next few days.

Customers will have to wait before they can visit the restaurant again

He explained that he had been “hit by the Rona” and that he was looking for customers and staff.

The post said: “It was a tough decision, but for the safety of our staff and customers, we have made the call.

“Again, we’re really, really sorry that we can’t honor reservations, especially those that have booked some time ago. It’s still not quite back to normal …”

Brother Thai encourages customers to reserve a table for November when there are reservation slots remaining, however, you may need to be quick as this restaurant is booked quickly.
