Aryan Khan this week received a money order worth 4,500 rupees – the maximum that can be sent to someone in prison – from his home, which he can use to order food and other items. at Arthur Road Prison in Mumbai.
Aryan was also allowed to make a 10-minute supervised video call with his family; this was in line with a High Court order that said prisoners are allowed to video call with their families twice a week due to Covid.
Aryan, however, only exercised this option once.
The warrant was received on Monday and the video call took place yesterday, ANI news agency reported.
However, Nitin Waychal, the superintendent of the prison, made it clear that Aryan received food in prison; no food at home or away will be served to the star’s son until a court order is made, he said.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan, 23, was returned to jail last night after being denied bail for the fourth time in what is known as the drug case in cruise to Mumbai.
A Mumbai sessional court, after hearing lengthy arguments from Aryan’s legal team and the NCB, represented by Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh, reserved its order until October 20.
This effectively means that Aryan Khan, who has already spent 12 days in prison, has no legal options and must remain in prison for at least five more days, as the court is now closed for the holiday season.
Aryan Khan was also referred to as “Trial Number N956” and transferred to the barracks.
He was transferred to a shared cell yesterday following a negative COVID-19 test result.
The court ruling came after the Narcotics Control Bureau alleged that Aryan Khan was a regular drug user. The court had resumed its hearing for a second day, again late because ASG Singh, pleading another case in the High Court, arrived late.
The BCN alleged drugs of Aryan origin – Accused No. 1 – and was in contact with “certain people abroad who appear to be part of an international drug network for the illicit purchase of drugs”.
In response, lead lawyer Amit Desai, defending Aryan Khan, said the WhatsApp chats that the agency relies heavily on can often seem suspicious given the type of language young people use today.
The defense argument is that Aryan had no drugs on him when he was arrested, that he had no money to buy drugs and that he also did not. been caught consuming them.
“The allegation of illicit trafficking is inherently absurd. This boy who has nothing, he was not even on the ship. This is an absurd and false allegation,” Desai said.
Aryan’s parents – Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan – have yet to speak about his arrest or the allegations. However, many actors in the film industry – like Salman Khan, Farah Khan and Hrithik Roshan – have shown their support for the Khans.
