5 cool new restaurants to try in Mississauga right now

It’s been a while, but you might be ready to head to Mississauga and grab some food.

However, in the last few months things have changed.

Some of your favorite places may have disappeared; unfortunately the victims of the pandemic.

Others may be starting to get going.

The good news is that a bunch of new places have opened.

So if you’re looking for something a little different, we’ve brought you five new places in Mississauga where you can eat.


Pasta Night – 562 Lakeshore Rd. E.

Pasta Night in Port Credit is now open. The restaurant offers a subscription service, which offers a full three-course meal, including a starter, a main course and a dessert, every Monday evening.

Subscribers can view the week’s menu in advance and decide if they want to try the meal or skip it and wait until the following week. Meal kits are delivered directly to subscriber doors and service is available to residents of Scarborough through Hamilton.

In addition, the restaurant also offers a daily menu, which features Italian-inspired dishes, such as spaghetti, bucatini and casarecce; Caesar and Caprese salads; as well as focaccia bread, biscotti and cannoli.

According to the restaurant, all menu items – including the hot sauce – are homemade, from scratch.


AllStar Express – 2905 Eglinton Avenue West

Good news for those who love chicken wings, AllStar Wings and Ribs is now open in Mississauga.

The Mississauga location, called AllStar Express, is the chain’s seventh iteration in the GTA.

The restaurant came into being in 2003 after President and CEO Tom Anastopoulos had such a positive reaction to the wings he served at a barbecue at his home, he decided to open a restaurant. .

Since then, the chain has grown, including its last location at Erin Mills.

Although it serves many different dishes including burgers, steaks, sandwiches and salads, it is known for its wings.

The popular chain currently offers over 200 different ways to enjoy their chicken wings and are constantly adding new flavors.

Some of the more popular flavors include Honey Garlic, Mardi Gras, Mehican Ranchero, Prime Time, and American.


Mo Thai – 3085 Hurontario Street

Mississauga’s newest Thai restaurant, Mo Thai, is now in Cooksville.

Mo Thai will be a take-out outlet open only by Chef Mo, who runs Toronto’s successful Thai restaurant Sala on the Danforth. It will be located at 3085 Hurontario Street, Unit 13, directly across from TL Kennedy High School.

“Mississauga residents have been waiting for a place where they can enjoy healthy, modern Thai cuisine,” said the company’s marketing manager. “Chef Mo grew up in Thailand and her restaurants serve the authentic cuisine she grew up with.”

Among the classic dishes served at Mo Thai are pad thai, green mango salad, tom yum, curry and desserts. The opening day is tentatively scheduled for May 15.


Honey – Soul Food – 5977 Dixie Rd

It’s food for your soul, right here in Mississauga.

Honey – Soul Food, located at 5977 Dixie Rd., Is a soul food restaurant with a Southern twist.

“Honey is like her, something sweet,” the new restaurant posted on his Instagram account. “She’s soul food, taking you on a trip down south with Cajun flavors, Creole vibes, and bourbon infusions. It’s about food that makes you feel right at home.”

The options for the Breaking Bread portion of the menu include a Jack’d Up Chicken Sandwich, with Jack Daniels Cajun Breaded Chicken with coleslaw and pickles on a sweet cookie.

The restaurant also offers a Big Kahuna consisting of two patties of smash jerk, pineapple, cheese, lettuce, pickles, Cajun mayo and a mango fillet.

The menu also features a braised brisket sandwich and braised brisket macaroni with a five-cheese blend, shredded braised brisket and signature frosting. Diners can also try a loaded mac or Mama’s OG lasagna, which consists of ground beef with spinach and a five-cheese blend.

The “sides” include loaded mac, poutine, and cornbread, and you can wash them all down with coconut water or sweet teas.


Pizzeria Rosso – 121 Lakeshore Road West

The team of the Italian restaurant Ombretta Cucina & Vino recently announced its brand new restaurant concept: Pizzeria Rosso, a patio pizzeria and bar that will open in Port Credit.

With their glass roof, the restaurant promises to be the “first pizzeria and covered outdoor bar in the GTA”.

The new pizzeria will open at Ombretta’s current location at 121 Lakeshore Rd. W.
